On the river we offer full day, morning and afternoon trips which once again cater for first time angler or the experienced angler. Lake trip are multi day itineraries due to the distances required to get to the fishing areas and start from a minimum of 4 days (3 nights camping) or customise your own trip and we will happily advise you on any questions or suggestions you have. These trips are based on rough camping on secluded beaches and catering is inclusive. Better known as hard core fishing. All fishing gear, camping equipment, safety gear and drinking water is supplied. The surrounding Bavuma chain of islands are spectacular in their own right with pockets of rain forest, cliffs and rocky outcrops with plenty of bird species for those who wish to throw in a bit of birding. Target species on the Lake are Nile Perch and Tilapia and on the River, Nile Perch, Tilapia, Yellow Fish and on occasion, Cat Fish. We practice a strict policy of catch and release and will only keep fish which are obviously not going to recover after being landed. We also have a tagging system which we hope will shed some light onto the habits of these species over a period of years. Please refer to the “FISHING” page for more details.
